Sturmey-Archer Thrust Ring

Sturmey-Archer Axle Washer w/9.5 mm tabs HMW494

These essential washer incorporate serrations to keep the axle from slipping forward, and also features tabs that keep the axle from rotating in the frame due to pedaling torque. If you're using a Sturmey-Archer hub on a newer frame made for a wider axle, you need the HMW494 with 9.5 mm tabs instead. Sturmey-Archer Sprocket Spacer 1.7 mm - 1/16

Two of these go onto the driver along with the sprocket and the sprocket dust cap. The spacers may be re-arranged to allow you to fine-tune the chain line. These spacers are also sometimes used under the fixed cup of a bottom bracket, or under a thread-on freewheel or track sprocket, to correct chainline or other problems. Sturmey-Archer Cone Lock Washer (right side)

This essential washer incorporates two tabs that secure the wench flats of the right side cone, so that it will stay in adjustment. The right cone adjustment is quite critical. With the left cone slack, the right one should be tightened finger tight, then backed off 1/2 turn, plus as much more as is needed to get the flats to line up with this washer's tabs.
